Story & Narrative Development is the first phase that repeats for every episode. It takes the episode from zero to a reviewed, revision-ready screenplay using Ordinary Animator's plan document workflow.

• Episode Discovery: Rough beats, objective, core question, and relationship dynamics.

• Episode Setup: Confirming which characters, locations, and props this episode requires.

• Locations and Props: Reviewing and confirming assets for the episode.

• Story Structure: Locking the episode objective, core conflict, and major beats.

• Scriptwriting: Writing the first draft screenplay.

• Editorial: Multi-pass review and revision before moving to audio.

A weak screenplay discovered after audio recording or shot generation is expensive to fix. This phase exists to catch story problems while they are still cheap — a script edit costs seconds; regenerating twenty shots does not.
