4.3  Episode Setup

Episode Setup confirms which characters, locations, and props appear in this episode. It is also where you introduce minor characters specific to this episode and note any relationship changes the episode introduces.

Doing this before writing the screenplay ensures the assets you need are ready before production starts, and that any missing assets are identified early enough to build them.

Put it into practice

Complete the Episode Character & World Instantiation step in your episode plan: confirm participating characters, identify required locations, note any minor characters to introduce, and flag any assets that still need to be built.
