Asset Readiness
Asset Readiness is where you build the 3D visual assets Ordinary Animator needs to generate shots: characters with rigs and expressions, location backgrounds with visual metadata, and props.
Character Development: VRM models, rigging, blend shapes, and expressions.
Set Development: Location backgrounds, 3D sets, articulation, painting, and skyboxes.
Prop Development: 3D objects and set dressing.
Before diving into asset creation, a quick primer on how 3D assets work. Most of these concepts are handled for you by Ordinary Animator, but they are still good to understand.
Meshes: The 3D structure of an object, defined by vertices, edges, and faces.
Materials: Properties defining how a mesh looks — color, shininess, transparency.
Textures: 2D images applied to a mesh to add surface detail.
Shaders: Programs that define how materials react to light.
Rigging: Adding a skeleton to a mesh for animation, including bones and joints.
Blend Shapes: Mesh deformations that drive facial expressions and body variation.
Animations: Movement or transformation of meshes over time.
Lighting: How light interacts with objects in a scene.
Post-Processing Effects: Visual enhancements applied after rendering, like bloom or color grading.
