Character Modeling
Character Modeling is the process of creating a 3D character model, defining their shape, proportions, and features. To simplify this process, Ordinary Animator uses VRM 1.0 characters, which can be exported from VRoid Studio, free character creation software for Windows, Mac, and iPads.
VRM Characters: VRM characters, created in VRoid Studio, provide a pre-made 3D character model that can be easily adjusted for use in animations and games. This allows for faster development by focusing on other elements.
Texture Adjustments: While the mesh is pre-built, you can adjust textures (PNG files) in VRoid Studio to customize the character’s appearance, including skin tones, clothing, and hair coloring.
Pre-Built Meshes: The mesh structure of the VRM character is already created, so you don’t need to focus on modeling the character’s geometry. Instead, you can focus on refining the character’s look and functionality.
Create your own character using VRoid Studio.
Install a recent version of VRoid Studio on your iPad, Mac, or Windows desktop.
Design your own character using presets or custom designs.
Edit the textures for clothes and eyes to customize your characters, or purchase skins from marketplaces such as Booth.
Export the model in VRM 1.0 format.
Upload the VRM file to the Ordinary Animator Files area.
Test the model by applying different animation clips.
