Blend Shapes
Blend shapes are a method for altering the shape of a 3D mesh to create different expressions or movements. They are often used for facial expressions, such as smiling or frowning, and for actions such as mouth movements during speech.
VRoid Studio Blend Shapes: VRoid Studio provides a set of basic blend shapes for facial expressions, such as blinking and smiling, which help add life to the character.
ARKit Blend Shapes: In addition to VRoid’s default blend shapes, Ordinary Animator enhances the character by automatically adding ARKit blend shapes, which are a more comprehensive set of facial expressions and movements.
Facial and Speech Control: Blend shapes are crucial for creating facial animations, enabling the character to express emotions and synchronize mouth movements with speech for more realistic performances.
Veryify ARKit blend shapes were added to your model (if not already present). This should be performed automatically by Ordinary Animator when it loads the VRM file you supplied.
Open up your VRM 1.0 character model from VRoid Studio.
Confirm additional ARKit blend shapes have been automatically added. Adjust the sliders to see the effects of changing weighs.
